These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Waste Clearance Ruislip provides waste clearance and related services to domestic and commercial customers. By booking a waste collection or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
Customer means the individual, business or organisation requesting the services of Waste Clearance Ruislip.
Services means waste clearance, collection, removal, loading, transportation, and related services provided by Waste Clearance Ruislip.
Waste means the items, materials, rubbish, junk, furniture, appliances, garden waste or other materials agreed to be removed by Waste Clearance Ruislip, in accordance with applicable waste regulations.
Booking means a confirmed request for services, whether made by telephone, email, online form or in person.
Site means the property or location from which the waste is to be collected.
Waste Clearance Ruislip provides waste clearance, rubbish removal and related services for domestic and commercial customers. The specific scope of each service, including the type and approximate volume of waste, access conditions and collection times, will be agreed during the booking process.
We reserve the right to refuse to remove any waste that we reasonably consider to be hazardous, prohibited by law, incorrectly described at the time of booking, or unsafe for our staff to handle. We may also refuse any waste that exceeds the agreed volume or weight, or which cannot be accessed safely at the Site.
3.1 Bookings may be made by telephone, email or through our online enquiry or booking channels, where available. All bookings are subject to acceptance by Waste Clearance Ruislip.
3.2 When requesting a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information about the type of waste, approximate quantity or volume, access to the Site, parking arrangements, and any other relevant details. Our quotation is based on the information you provide.
3.3 We may request photographs or a detailed description of the waste and access conditions to provide a more accurate quotation. Any significant difference between the information provided and the actual conditions at the Site may result in additional charges or, in some cases, cancellation of the service.
3.4 A booking will be considered confirmed once we have agreed the date, approximate time window, estimated price, and any other key terms, and you have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
4.1 Unless expressly stated otherwise, any quoted price is an estimate only, based on the information you provide at the time of booking and our standard pricing structure for the relevant service area.
4.2 The final price may be adjusted on the day of collection if the volume, weight or type of waste is different from that described, access is more difficult than reasonably anticipated, or additional labour or time is required to complete the clearance.
4.3 Additional charges may apply for:
a. Excess volume or weight of waste beyond the initial estimate.
b. Special handling or disposal fees for certain items, such as mattresses, fridges, electrical items, tyres or other items that attract higher disposal costs.
c. Delays caused by restricted access, waiting time beyond an agreed grace period, or other factors outside our control.
d. Parking fees, permits or fines incurred while carrying out the service, where these arise due to the Site conditions or local parking restrictions.
4.4 We will always explain any variation to the estimated price before commencing work where possible. If you do not agree to the revised price, we may cancel the service and a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.
5.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. We may require full or partial payment in advance, or payment on completion of the service.
5.2 We accept common forms of payment such as bank transfer, debit or credit card, and cash, subject to confirmation of available methods at the time of booking.
5.3 For commercial customers or regular service agreements, different payment terms and invoicing arrangements may be agreed in writing.
5.4 All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Where applicable, VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate and clearly shown on any invoice or receipt.
5.5 Payment is due in full by the agreed due date. If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue sums and to recover any reasonable costs incurred in pursuing payment.
6.1 If you wish to cancel or amend a booking, you must notify us as soon as possible by telephone or email. Your cancellation will take effect from the time we acknowledge it.
6.2 For cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled collection time, no cancellation fee will normally apply, unless we have incurred specific costs or made special arrangements at your request.
6.3 For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled collection time, or where our team attends the Site and is unable to carry out the service due to circumstances within your control, we may charge a cancellation or call-out fee to cover our costs.
6.4 We will use reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window, but times are approximate and may be affected by traffic, weather, operational issues or other factors. In the event of unforeseen delays or the need to reschedule, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. We do not accept liability for indirect losses arising from any delay or rescheduling.
7.1 You must ensure that we have safe, reasonable and lawful access to the Site, including suitable parking for our vehicles as close as practicable to the place where the waste is located.
7.2 You must ensure that all waste to be collected is clearly identified and separated as required, and that the Site is safe for our staff to enter and work within. This includes ensuring that any pets are controlled, and any known hazards are disclosed.
7.3 You confirm that you have lawful authority to allow us to remove the waste from the Site, either as the owner of the property or with the express permission of the owner or relevant occupier.
7.4 You must not present for collection any hazardous waste, such as asbestos, clinical waste, certain chemicals, or any material that is prohibited by relevant waste regulations, unless we have expressly agreed in writing to handle such waste and are properly licensed and equipped to do so.
8.1 Waste Clearance Ruislip is committed to responsible waste management and compliance with all applicable UK waste regulations and environmental legislation.
8.2 All waste collected will be transported and disposed of, recycled or recovered at appropriately licensed facilities, in accordance with the duty of care and other legal requirements relating to controlled waste.
8.3 We reserve the right to refuse to collect any items that we reasonably suspect may be hazardous, illegal or non-compliant with waste regulations, or which we are not authorised to transport or handle.
8.4 By using our services, you agree not to request or encourage any activity that would breach waste management or environmental laws, including fly-tipping, improper disposal, or misdescription of waste.
8.5 Upon request, and where appropriate, we may provide a waste transfer note or other documentation evidencing lawful transfer and management of the waste, in line with applicable regulations.
9.1 Ownership of the waste transfers to Waste Clearance Ruislip once it is loaded onto our vehicle, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9.2 You are responsible for ensuring that no items of value, personal belongings or documents are left within the waste presented for removal. Once items have been removed, we are not obliged to return them and accept no liability for any such items inadvertently placed in the waste.
10.1 We will carry out the services with reasonable care and skill, using competent staff and appropriate equipment.
10.2 While working on the Site, we will take reasonable care to avoid damage. However, we are not liable for:
a. Normal wear and tear or minor cosmetic damage to areas reasonably required to access and remove the waste.
b. Any pre-existing damage or structural weaknesses at the Site.
c. Damage arising from defective or insecure fixtures, fittings or access routes that we could not reasonably be expected to know about.
10.3 If we are found liable for any loss or damage arising from our services, our total liability to you will, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be limited to the price paid or payable for the relevant service, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10.4 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of data, arising out of or in connection with the provision of our services.
11.1 Waste Clearance Ruislip maintains appropriate insurance cover in respect of public liability and, where applicable, employers liability, in connection with the provision of our services.
11.2 Details of our insurance cover are available on request.
12.1 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, you should contact us as soon as possible, providing full details of your concern.
12.2 We will investigate any complaint promptly and aim to resolve issues by considering the circumstances, our records and any relevant evidence. Where appropriate, we may offer a remedy such as a partial refund, a re-visit or other practical solution, at our discretion.
13.1 We collect and process personal information about customers for the purposes of handling enquiries, bookings, payments, service delivery, and related administration.
13.2 We will handle any personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws and only retain it for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
13.3 We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers or authorities where necessary for payment processing, legal compliance, or to carry out our services.
14.1 We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, accidents, traffic disruption, strikes, lockouts, acts of government, or failure of utilities or transport networks.
14.2 In such circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and to minimise any disruption, and we will resume the services as soon as reasonably practicable.
15.1 Waste Clearance Ruislip may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any such changes will take effect once published or otherwise notified and will apply to new bookings made after that date.
15.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of your booking will apply to that particular booking, unless changes are required by law or regulation.
16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed removed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
